Lynn Jost

Lynn Jost served as Professor of Old Testament and Preaching and Director of the Anabaptist Center at Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary, Fresno, California, where he also served as president and academic dean. He earned his BA from Tabor College, MDiv from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, and his PhD in Homiletics and Hebrew Bible from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. He wrote 1 & 2 Kings in the Believers Church Bible Commentary series (Herald, 2022) and is also the author, with Connie Faber, of Family Matters: Discovering the Mennonite Brethren (Kindred, 2002). He has contributed essays to several published collections as well as more popular articles. Before serving as a seminary professor, he did church planting in Spain, pastored congregations in Kansas, and taught biblical and religious studies at Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas. He and his wife Donna are parents of two adult children.
